She was predeceased by: her parents, Steven H. Minjarez and Carmen Minjarez (Lovato); her sisters, Lucy Salinas and Connie Archuleta; and her husband Hermilo Avitia-Misclez.
She is survived by: her children, Tina Olivas (Ernesto), Alicia Gonzalez (Juan) and Gildardo Avitia; and her siblings, Johnnie Minjarez, Arthur Minjarez, Pauline Gallegos and Hope Martinez. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
