With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marcille Birney in Johnson, Kansas, born in Liberal, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 13, 2026 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her parents, Helena Mildred (Fowler) and Oscar Frank Reiss; her husband Robert Birney; her daughter Marla Birney; and her brother Gerald Reiss.
She is survived by: her children, Marita Hampton of Clarksville, AR, Milan Birney of Clarksville, AR, Marc Birney (Rita) of Sublette, KS and Max Birney (Jillae) of Olathe, KS; and her grandchildren, Carrie Jo Battles of Clarksville, AR, Jamie Battles of Clarksville, AR, Russell Hampton (Savanah) of Clarksville, AR, Misty Hubbard (John) of Russellville, AR, Desirae Jaso (David) of Satanta, KS, Coty Birney (Laurie Meadows) of Satanta, KS, Buck Birney (RaeLynn) of Wichita, KS, Bryce Birney (Stephanie) of Dodge City, KS, Jinae Krieshok (Benj) of Olathe, KS, Robert Birney of Corpus Christi, TX and Dr. Jalee Birney of Temple, TX. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
