He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Eugene Patchen and Mary Merlene Patchen (Ridgway); his brother Steven Patchen; and his brothers-in-law, John Rooney and George Lawrence (Buddy).
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Sue Schlink; his children, Michelle Patchen Wasson (David) and John Patchen; his grandchildren, Kathryn Anne Freidl, Kaylah Marie Patchen and Roman Patchen; his sister Mary Rooney; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Grems, Kay Barngrover (Rick) and Leda Lawrence. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews.
