She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce Robert and Dorthey Jean Garvey (Bell). She is survived by: her siblings, Joan Garvey of Omaha, Nebraska and Paul Garvey of Omaha, Nebraska. She is also survived by four nephews and three nieces; eight great-nieces and nephews.
Her contributions to the profession included not only teaching but also working on the School Improvement Team, the Student Assistance Team, and the Reading Committee.
