He was predeceased by: his mother Ethel Iris Field. He is survived by: his wife Kathi Jo; his children, Greg Young and Heather Duquette; and his grandson Pomeranian Tenshi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson & Mass-Hinitt Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (203 N Washington St, Junction City, KS 66441).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the ASPCA. Lawrence R Young will be remembered not only for his contributions to education but also for his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family.
