She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Fleming and Louise Fleming; and her husband Brownie Newland. She is survived by: her daughters, Shirley Smith and Marie Wingate (David); and her grandchildren, Patricia Smith, Benjamin Smith, Eric Wingate (Ronda), Julianne Kehoe and Joshua Wingate (Michelle). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
