He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Young and Georgia Ann Young (Jamison); his children, Adell Young, Jr., Cassandra McPherson and Angela Frye; his grandson Landon Malt; and his sisters, Pauline Caruthers, Anna Lou Moore, Ernestine Young, Ethel Mae Hall and Que Wallace Daniels (Walter Young).
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Young; his children, Chavonne Lloyd (Herman) of Kansas City and Micha Carson (Holly) of Kansas City; his grandchildren, Jamilah Crawford, Wymann Simpson (Chanarian), Ricky Maltbia and Taylor Scott; and his siblings, Linton Caruthers (Ann) of Mississippi and Betty Chandler (Clarence) of Mississippi. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
