It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecil Smith (Kansas City, Kansas), who passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Smith and Robirda Stephens Smith; his son Cecil Charles, Jr.; his siblings, Hesteen Rosenthall, Erma Mitchell and Jemmie Smith; his nephew Rodney Harris (Roberts); and his in-laws, Aaron, Mary Roberts, Claud Roberts, Leon Roberts and Darlene Miller.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Smith; his daughter Venita Smith; and his nieces and nephews, Timothy Smith, Anthony Harris, William Mitchell, Patrick Mitchell, Fredrick Mitchell, Jemmie Smith, Jr., Pamela Smith, Lisa Walton, Levi Jordan, Brian Jordan, Darnese Miller and Anita Miller. He is also survived by cousins, in-laws, and friends.
