He was predeceased by: his father Peter Gent; and his uncle Mike Irey. He is survived by: his mother Dena Gent; his siblings, Aaron Gent (Liz) and Ruth Roessler (Chris); his aunts, Georgia Carpenter (Mike), Vicki Irey and Mary Martin (Dan); and his uncle Herb Sieg. He is also survived by his cousins and his best friend.
