He was predeceased by: his father Andrew Immanuel Meditz. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Meditz (Barber); his siblings, Dale Meditz (Nancy) and Denise Yulich (Mark); and his children, David Meditz (Lisa), Michelle Adams (Matthew) and Jessica Porter. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Kansas University with a SSD (BA) in History/Anthropology and did professional field work with the Smithsonian, National Geographic, Louisiana Research Foundation and the Anthropology Research Facility KU.
