He was predeceased by: his parents, B. F. Powell (Frank) and Suzanne Powell (Ballard); his grandparents, Roscoe, Nancy Powell and Bess Williams; and his brother Thomas Powell (Frankie).
He is survived by: his brother Jim Powell (Pam); his sibling's children, Sonny Powell (Melissa) and Lisa Mansaw (Steve); his great-nephews, Christian Robinson, Cody Powell, Erion Mansaw and Tanner Powell; and his great-niece Arielle Mansaw.
