With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary J. Cook (Kansas City, Kansas), who passed away on July 12, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Buford Cook and Thelma Louise Brantley; and his son-in-law Christopher Zamora. He is survived by: his children, Dawn Cook (Rene), Geary Cook (Angel) and Krystal Cook-Zamora; his grandchildren, Angel Mora, Andrew Mora, Analeise Cook-Vaca, Alejandro Cook-Vaca, Amelia Rocha, Lucas Cook, Joanna Cook, James Cook, Clyde Cook, Maggie Cook, Kaylee Cook, Jorgia Cook, Suzanne Cook-Zamora and Joseph Zamora; and his great grandchildren, Ruby Mora and Naomi Herrera.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Highland Park Funeral Home and Crematory (4101 State Ave, Kansas City, KS 66102). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
