She was predeceased by: her husband Art Jackson Sr.; her children, Lee Arthur Jackson and Nadine Jackson Garcia; her grandsons, ZaKaree Covington and Tyler Covington; her parents, Ray Carter and Magazine "Maggie" Carter; and her siblings, Gladys Kennard, Ray Carter Jr., Robert Carter, Othelyn "Brownie" Carter of Armester and Carse Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Art Jr. (Lorna), Hiram "James", Willie "George", Alcardio, Lodean, Renita and Ray. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
