He was predeceased by: his mother Martha Ella Warfield; his spouse Beverly Jean Johnson; his sons, John Samuel Johnson and Lonnie Edward Johnson; and his sister Alta Mae Rivers.
He is survived by: his children, Otis Johnson (Traci Johnson), Wilma Randle, Patricia Johnson and Deborah Johnson. He is also survived by several grandchildren, including 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Highland Park Funeral Home and Crematory (4101 State Ave, Kansas City, KS 66102). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
