He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles M. Samenus and Katherine Susan Samenus; and his brother Daniel A. Samenus. He is survived by: his significant other Mary DeMasi; his daughters, Rachael and Alexa Samenus; and his siblings, Maribeth Samenus, Stacee Samenus Maude, Jeff Samenus and Stephanie Samenus.
