He was predeceased by: his father Earl Petty, Sr.; and his siblings, Earl Jr., Herman, Alonzo Petty (Lonnie), Hazel and Sharon Petty.
He is survived by: his mother Mildred English; his wife Denise; his children, Lanisha and Dolan; his grandchildren, Askari and Kassidy; and his siblings, Carmona (James), Ned Jr. and James Sr. (Norma Jean). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
