Setsuko Bushnell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Setsuko Bushnell (Kansas City, Kansas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 26, 2025 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Setsuko Bushnell to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Shusho Takayama and Kamato Takayama; her husband Lawrence Bushnell; and her son-in-law John Nahrebeski. She is survived by: her children, Yoko Hokama (Kiyomasa), Carol Wiglesworth (Russ), Lynn Nahrebeski, Steve Bushnell (Gina Mentzer) and Roberta Harris (Bob); her grandchildren, Chizuru, Hiromi Hokama, Lee Wiglesworth (Megan), Kristina Anderson (Brian), Mackenzie Wiglesworth, Christopher Nahrebeski (Ashlee Braun), Ally Anderson (Joey), Tyler, Bailey Bushnell, Lauren and Emily Harris; her great grandchildren, Rizumu, Rui, Ruka Nakahara, Stephanie, Mikayla, Amari, Kadyn Wiglesworth, Vivienne Murphy, Christian, Gabrielle Anderson, Nova Nahrebeski, Emma and Lainey Anderson; and her sisters, Yone Montgomery (Gene) and Miwako Takayama. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wesley United Methodist Church (635 N 32nd St, Kansas City, KS 66102). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
