With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Marks (Kansas City, Kansas), who passed away on March 2, 2026 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Lee Marks, Sr. and Ruby Elizabeth Marks; and her siblings, Harold Holmes Jr., Fred Marks Jr., Rev. Richard Marks, Ronald Marks, Sr. and Zelma V. Marks.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary Danny Marks and Mark Lee Marks; her granddaughter Kiara Marks; her great grandchild Roman; her siblings, Beverly Jean Mitchell, Carol Ann Brown, Ruth Anna Easterwood, Alice Marie Spears, Arthur Marks, Robert Marks and Phillip Marks; her uncle Stewart Spencer; and her friends, Clarissa Henderson and Mary Williams.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Second Metropolitan Baptist Church (1821 S 37th St, Kansas City, KS 66106). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
