He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Whitaker Sr. and Mary Louise Whitaker; and his son James Christopher Whitaker. He is survived by: his wife Mary Whitaker; his children, Billy Whitaker and Leslee Nix; his grandchildren, James, Evan, Collin, Sadee, Lorenzo, Maria, Liam, Emma, Mya and Steven; his great grandchildren, Darius, Axel, Bella, River, Marylin, Lorelai and Charlie Carter; and his siblings, Susan Brown, Ann Whitaker, Kathy Brock and Curtis Wade. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews as well as cousins.
