It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard L. Bayer (Kingman, Kansas), who passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bayer and Margaret Gehlen Bayer; and his siblings, Camillus, Corona, Daniel Bayer, Walter Bayer, Ralph Bayer, Genny Klein, Herman Bayer, Martina Young, Marion Bayer and Harold Bayer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Mertens (Les), Stephanie Fairchild (Todd) and Stacy Betzen (Jeremy); his sister Joan Payne; his grandchildren, Todd Swindle, Shelby Jones, Tangi Mertens, Cody, Eric, Brian Fairchild, Madison Dowsey and Wylan Betzen; and his great grandchildren, Bentley Swindle, Emily Landis, Noah Roberts, Jase Roberts, Tezlyn Jones, Grayson Jones and Cameron Fairchild.
