It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Winton L. Vanmeter (Kingman, Kansas), born in Hutchinson, Kansas, who passed away on February 15, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Jean and Lucille Peterson VanMeter; and his siblings, Donna Jean, Lloyd, Carol, Wayne and Joyce.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Graves Malone; his children, Richard VanMeter (Yvonne) of Topeka, KS, Christy Donnelly (Dale) of Hominy, OK and Stacey Horton of Pooler, GA; his stepsons, Travis Malone (Becky) and Jeff Malone (Arica) of Pratt, KS; his grandchildren, Taylor VanMeter, Brody VanMeter, Zach Hurd (Dusty), Payton Hurd, Jacqueline Bryant (Nick), Jake Donnelly (Madison), Brady, Mirabelle, Cooper Malone, Noah and Dawson Malone; and his sister Mary Jinkaway. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
