He is survived by: his children, Bonnie Franz (Doug) of Buhler and Kenneth Schmidt of Kinsley; and his grandchildren, Julie Mathias (Tim) of Hutchinson, Stephanie Isaacson (Brendan) of Buhler, Brian Franz of Buhler, Ashley Alvarez (Paul) of Coldwater, Michelle Hartung (Jason) of Hutchinson, Jeffrey Schmidt (Lynnea) of McPherson and Laken Schmidt of Wichita. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
