He was predeceased by : his parents, Cyril P. Schmidt and Marie B. Schmidt (Jira); and his siblings, Michael Schmidt, Judy Addams and Debra Hollis.
He is survived by : his wife Donna Schmidt; his children, Patrick Schmidt (Amy) and Megan Morse (Clay); his grandchildren, Collin Schmidt, Jalen Morse and Liam Schmidt; and his siblings, Gary Schmidt, Richard Schmidt, Joe Schmidt, John Schmidt, Mark Schmidt and Mary Beth Wagner.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests memorials to Hope Lutheran Church, Rush Center, Kansas.
