He was predeceased by: his wife Roberta Shoemaker (Pike); and his sisters, Wanda Mayfield and Betty Cooley. He is survived by: his sons, Michael S. Berry, Patrick T. Berry, Christopher and Charles Shoemaker Jr.; his granddaughters, Lillian Nicole Berry and London Grace Berry; and his siblings, Donnie Shoemaker (Joyce), Ira Shoemaker, Roberta Ready and Barbara Bolderson.
