He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn E. Smith (Clements) and Murlin W. Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Larry and Sue (David Ryan); his significant other Harriet K. Filbert; and his children, Melissa K. Peters, James R. "Bob" Smith (Lisa), Matthew M. Smith and Rebecca "Becky" S. Caldwell (Monte). He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grand children.
