The family announces the passing of Margaret J. Young of Lansing, Kansas on August 29, 2026. Margaret, born on November 19, 1929, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles McQuillan and Bertha McQuillan (Schmidt); her husband Neil Young; her daughter Jean Young; her grandson Calen Young; and her brother Donald McQuillan.
She is survived by: her children, Dale Young (Karel), Karen Lilleston (Jim) and Mark Young; and her brother Charles J. McQuillan (Gloria). She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Francis de Sales Church (900 Ida St, Lansing, KS 66043). A Mass will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Mount Calvary Cemetery (1011 Desoto Rd, Lansing, KS 66043).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis de Sales Church or Catholic Community Health Hospice.
