He is survived by: his wife Barbara Harmston (Otte) of Lansing, KS; his children, Heidi (Trent Cole (Charles), Holly (Mike Dunn (Queen), Paul Jared Harmston of Omaha, NE and Brenden Harmston of Omaha, NE; his grandchildren, Madison Cole of Rexburg, ID, Spencer Cole of Charles Town, WV, Logan (Meghann Cole (Rexburg), Aiden Cole of Rexburg, ID, Taryn Cole of Charles Town, WV, Rylee (Greg Engle (Mesa), Ryan (Mary Dunn (Queen), Danny (Gracie Dunn (Gilbert), Nathan Dunn of Queen Creek, AZ, Jake Dunn of Queen Creek, AZ, Tinashe Harmston of Omaha, NE and Sara Harmston of Omaha, NE; and his great grandchildren, Adelaide Dunn of Gilbert, AZ and Eliouse Dunn of Gilbert, AZ.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1020 Limit St, Leavenworth, KS 66048). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (11027 Martha St, Omaha, NE 68144).
Memorial contributions are suggested to the VFW Auxiliary Post 56, 519 Cherokee St, Leavenworth, KS 66048 to go towards the funding of a memorial park bench.
