He was predeceased by: his father Keithel Jackson; and his sister Caroline "Peach" Steele. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Jackson of Lansing, Kan.; his children, Brian Jackson (Tricia) of Leavenworth, Kan., Christine Barrett (Peter) of Leavenworth, Kan. and Richard; his grandchildren, Zachary Jackson, Natalie Barrett, Jackson Barrett, Jacob Jackson and Braden Jackson; his daughters, Lindsay Hagen (Jeff) of Lansing and Ashley Schmitt of Lansing; his grandchildren, Christopher Krites, Hank Hagen, Kaylee Krites, Jesse Hagen, John Schmitt and Olivia Schmitt; and his siblings, Danny Jackson, Mary Jo Schumacher (Eldon) and Susan Hall (Hershel).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or The Leavenworth Animal Welfare Society.
