Barbara Jean Tanner Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Jean Tanner of Larned, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 28, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Selena "Lena" Schmitt Berroth; her husband Darrell Dean Tanner; her siblings, Art Berroth, Larry Berroth, Joe Berroth, Brad Berroth, Sue Anderson and Betty Schuetz; her daughter-in-law Kathy Knuckolls Tanner; and her grandson David Michael Tanner.
She is survived by: her sons, Mike of Larned, Rick (Kathy) of Topeka, Rob (Donna) of Garden City and Brent (Denise) of Manhattan; her brother Ron (Diane) of Topeka; her grandchildren, Emily Christensen (Connor), Katie Woodbury, Kara Tanner, Weston Tanner, Kaycee Tanner, Parker Tanner (Tianna), Carson Tanner, Whitney Tanner (Cole) and Cooper Tanner; and her great grandchildren, Kenlee, Kamree, Charlie, Kaden, Brody and Layton. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Beckwith Mortuary (916 Main St, Larned, KS 67550). A rosary will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1111 State St, Larned, KS 67550).
