Alva Manning Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on August 22, 2025, at the age of 83, Alva Manning of Lawrence, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Alva had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Alva may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alpheus "A. B." Jackson and Zola Jackson. She is survived by: her husband Edward Manning; her children, Danny Manning (Julie) of Longmont, CO and Dawn Downing of Lawrence, KS; her sisters, Joyce Faye Boysaw of Rincon, GA and Linda Sue Armstrong of Lee's Summit, MO; and her grandchildren, Taylor Manning Brown (Terrell), Evan Manning (Elizabeth) and Mackenzi Downing. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
