He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Heck and Fleta I. Heck. He is survived by: his children, Frank Dee Heck (Anissa), Troy James Heck (Britt) and Cara Michelle (Heck) Muths (Jeremy); his stepdaughter Jill Lynn Bowen; and his siblings, Larry C. Heck (Janice), Rosemary Bien (Tim) and Deloris Mavity. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dengel & Son Mortuary - Crematory (235 S Hickory St, Ottawa, KS 66067). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Mt. Hope Cemetery (875 Finney Rd, Williamsburg, KS 66095).
