He is survived by: his significant other Helen Chavez; his children, David Martinez, Angela Minor (Glenn), Paul Martinez, Steven Martinez and James Martinez; his siblings, Johnny Martinez, Ruth Romero, Susie Bermudez and Kathy Martinez-Carpenter; his grandchildren, Madison Arroyo (Juan), Michelle Minor, Jordan Martinez, Mason Martinez and Michael Minor; and his great grandchildren, Sofia Arroyo, Bella Arroyo and Moises Arroyo.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Warren-Mcelwain Mortuary (120 W 13th St, Lawrence, KS 66044). A Mass will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Saint John the Evangelist Church (1234 Kentucky St, Lawrence, KS 66044).
