It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ben Jefferson Marett Jr. (Lawrence, Kansas), born in Seneca, South Carolina, who passed away on October 23, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Sr. and Eileen. He is survived by: his wife Mardi Rudin; his sister Ann (Ashley); his sons, Jeff (Debbie), Rob (Paige) and Greg (Leah); his grandchildren, Keith (Allison), Alex (Jessie), Zack, Nick, Xan, Leah, Halle and Colin; and his great grandchildren, Gavin, Chloe and Rhombus. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home (601 Indiana St, Lawrence, KS 66044). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Donations can be made in Ben's name to the Wounded Warrior Project or Folds of Honor.
