He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin A. Haverty and Dalphine M. Haverty; and his brothers, J. R. Haverty and Alvin Haverty (Beebe). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Wurth of Independence, MO; his children, Matt Leawood and Susan Eck Lenexa (Doug); and his grandchildren, Madison Haverty-Hassig Denver (Nick), Luke Haverty of New York, Kyle Haverty Dallas and Austin Eck Denver (Lexie).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Trinity Episcopal Church and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044. Warren-McElwain provides a full range of services including burial, cremation in our own crematory, entombment, or body donation.
