She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence "Barney" Shirack and Ruth Shirack. She is survived by: her husband Kat; her children, Kim Riffel (Rick) of Lawrence, Rick Janssen of Salina and Monte Janssen (Lisa) of Austin, Texas.; and her grandchildren, Matt Riffel, Isaac Riffel (Ashleah), Alexa Beebe (Brandon), Kellye Janssen, Jordan Janssen, Joel Janssen, Evan Janssen (Alexandra) and Regan Janssen.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Douglas County VNA Hospice or the Solomon Senior Center in Darlene's memory.
