It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Kent Showalter (Lawrence, Kansas), born in North Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on December 14, 2018, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Paul Kenneth Showalter. He is survived by: his spouse Rebecca Larson; his sons, Morgan Kenneth, Michael David, Eagle Scouts and Pinewood Derby; his mother Peggy Joyce Showalter of Lawrence, KS; his sons, Morgan Showalter of Olathe, KS and Michael Showalter (Benet) of Lawrence, KS; his sisters, Paula Gish (Stephen) of Tonganoxie, KS and Deirdre Mars (Stephen) of Lakewood Ranch, FL; and his significant other Cheryl Lemon of Lawrence, KS. He is also survived by five nephews and one niece.
