We are sad to announce that on October 9, 2025 we had to say goodbye to David L. Stutenroth of Lawrence, Kansas, born in Denver, Colorado. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy David leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though David may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar L. Stutenroth and Dorothy Stutenroth (Millier); his parents-in-law, Mildred Johnson and Dr. C. L.; and his stepmother-in-law Betty Johnson.
He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Elna Johnson Paiva (Brian) and Todd Johnson (Jennifer); and his friend Richard Hagen. He is also survived by one niece and two nephews; and three cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary (120 W 13th St, Lawrence, KS 66044). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Melvin's name to Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
