She was predeceased by: her parents, James Colbert and Leah Barnett Colbert; her husband Scotty Harjo; her siblings, Joe, Charlie, Rudolph, Elizabeth and Madella; and her siblings' children, Rick, Michael, Belvin, Jimmy, Vonda, LeaJean, Lillie and Phyllis.
She is survived by: her son John Scott Harjo; her granddaughters, Talima, Angelina and Layla; her great grandchild Nebula; and her sisters, Josephine Shanandore and Claudette Harjo. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in Esther's name payable to Lawrence Indian United Methodist Church – Children's Classroom addition and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
