Evah Mae Basel Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evah Mae Basel of Lawrence, Kansas, who passed away on March 28, 2026 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer P. Norris and Elizabeth R. Norris (Morgan); her husband Daniel Basel; her daughter Rita Dally; her siblings, Wayne Norris, Roy Norris, Nick Norris, Floyd Norris, Edith Coady, Violet Roller, Vena Carpenter and Wanda Camby; her granddaughter Samantha; and her great grandchildren, Cainan, Della and Autumn.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Basel (Deborah), Maryanna Rawlings (Larry), Wendell Basel (Cyndi), Diana Gammill (Mike) and Rodney Basel (Shara); and her sister Lavetta Koehler. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Evah's name may be made to Eudora Baptist Church.
