As we bid Fredonna Lavaughn farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Fredonna Lavaughn is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Friedof Winans and Alberta Fraizer Winans; and her siblings, Nedra Winans Wolnick and Alvis Winans. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Tiffany Hall, Kendra Smith (Scott Shipley) of Walker, MN and Branden Smith (Casey Schokley); and her great grandchild Angel Hall. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the McElwain Mortuary (120 W 13th St, Lawrence, KS 66044).
