In loving memory of Gary Allen Schmidt of Lawrence, Kansas, born in Denver, Colorado, who departed this world on July 18, 2025 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his sister Julie Sodia; and his cousin Lance Hodgin. He is survived by: his wife Rose McClanahan; his children, Caitlin of Lawrence and Aaron (Carrie); his grandchildren, Emelia Sabine (Neal), Gideon, Santiago and Benicio; and his great grandchildren, Avni of Wisconsin and Ole of Wisconsin.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church - Downtown Lawrence (946 Vermont St, Lawrence, KS 66044).
