James Bert Rood Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Bert Rood of Lawrence, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 18, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though James Bert may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James Bert touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Rood and Mildred Rood; and his brother Stan Rood (Terry Rood). He is survived by: his son Dan Rood (Cyndi); his grandchildren, Matty Owen and Allison Rood; his brother-in-law Marvin Pine; his wife Terry; and his sisters, Kathy Pine (Marvin) and Judy Palmquist.
