She was predeceased by: her parents, Burton Burquest and Ruth Burquest (Engdahl); her husband Gary Toebben; her sister Dianne Morris; and her stepmother Irene Burquest.
She is survived by: her children, Devon Haase Kim (Tony), Wyatt Haase (Ann), Andrew Toebben (Julia) and Seth Toebben; her grandchildren, Jonah Kim, Emeth Toebben, Josie Kim, Matthias Toebben, Fyodor Toebben, Sawyer Haase, Becket Toebben, Teo Toebben and Kai Toebben; her brother Mark Burquest (Wanda); and her sisters-in-law, Beverly Toebben and Sue Wolfe (Dan).
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Plymouth Church (925 Vermont St, Lawrence, KS 66044). A reception will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Maceli's.
Memorial contributions may be made to Plymouth Church, the Bert Nash Youth Recovery Center, Children's Advocacy Center of Douglas County, and KU Endowment.
