He was predeceased by: his parents, Pablo Nunez and Mary Nunez (Garcia); his brother Michael; his parents-in-law, John and Yoland Reeves; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Clary, Janice Reeves and Dan Samuels.

He is survived by: his former wife Rosalee Hernandez; his wife Melinda Dianne Reeves; his children, Richard Nunez, Dionne Chavez (Stephen), Christopher Nunez, Yvette Herrera (John) and Adrianne Nunez (Jaron Ruckman); his grandchildren, Nina, Alexandria, Matthew, Sarah, Andrew, Luke, Simone, Isabella, Sophia and Juniper; his siblings, Nicholas (Edda), Pablo Jr., Maxine Nunez and Jean Walters; and his siblings-in-law, Rick Reeves (Marsha) and Judy Samuels. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Elara Caring Hospice, Willow Domestic Violence Center, and Lawrence Parkinson's Support Group, sent in care of the funeral home.
