He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry C. Lewis and Eula M. Lewis (Hogan); and his siblings, Don and Sharon. He is survived by: his wife Betty Gilbreth; and his children, Lisa Gay O'Neill, Joseph L. Lewis, Jr. (Kimberly) and Brian Scott Lewis (Cathi).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Warren-Mcelwain Mortuary (120 W 13th St, Lawrence, KS 66044). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (1517 E 15th St, Lawrence, KS 66044).
