It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Juana Barajas of Lawrence, Kansas, who passed away at the age of 93, on May 22, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Barajas and Magdalene Barajas (Gutierrez); her daughter Doris Gauna; her grandson Michael Jaimez; and her great grandchild Alex Alvarez.
She is survived by: her children, Albert Gauna, Ricardo Allen (Angie) and Alice Galindo (Julio); her stepchildren, Pam, Mike and Terri Hadl; and her granddaughters, Selena Jaimez of Topeka, Melissa Thoms (Brett) of Topeka and Juanita Guzman (Jose) of Topeka.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Warren-Mcelwain Mortuary (120 W 13th St, Lawrence, KS 66044). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church (1234 Kentucky St, Lawrence, KS 66044).
Memorial contributions may be made in Juana's name to St. John's Catholic Church and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
