With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lawrence William Hatfield Sr. of Lawrence, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 26, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otha Hatfield and Florence Hatfield (Merritt); and his brother John Hatfield. He is survived by: his children, Tanya Green (Rowan) of Perry, KS, Victoria Roush (Tony) of Lawrence, KS, Gretchen B. Hatfield of Topeka, KS and Lawrence W. Hatfield Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, Robert Jameson (Aftan), Samantha Hays, Jonathan Hays and Jove Mortenson; and his great grandchildren, Stella, Murphy and Maia.
The family suggests memorials in Lawrence's name to The Parkinson Foundation or The National Kidney Foundation and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary 120 W. 13th St. Lawrence, KS 66044.
