She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lee Raines and Eva Raines (Rowe); her husband Gerald L. Cooley; her children, Beth Millikan (Andy Millikan) of Overland Park and John Cooley (Susan Cooley) of Lenexa; and her grandchildren, Gabe Millikan of Kansas City, MO, Laura Millikan of Dallas, TX, Jackson Cooley (Iberia Cooley) of Overland Park, Matt Cooley of Lenexa and Lawrence.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Lela's name to the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation and may be made via Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation - Primary Donate Page or be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
