“Mrs. Barker worked with my father, George Crawford, at the Education Department at KU. From the time they met, she immediately became a favorite of Dad's. I can remember her smile, how she knew everyone who came in, and immediately made people feel comfortable. Dad had so many wonderful stories of her kindness, her dedication and her remarkable insight. She and I re-connected after we lost Dad in June of 2016. I'm so grateful to have had that opportunity. I'm so thankful to have known her.”
