Though Leslie may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Leslie leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert C. Howard and Anna "Viola" Stein; and his wife Wanda Knapp. He is survived by: his children, Todd Howard of Lawrence, KS, Timothy Copp of Lawrence, KS, Jama Carter (Jeff) of Ottawa, KS and Tammy Barta (Jon) of Lawrence, KS; and his brother Robert Howard (Louise). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Lawrence Humane Society and to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country for Kerrville Flood victims, where Dean and Wanda frequented on their winter stays in Texas, both sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, P.O.
